Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate is a unique limited edition Single Estate batch release with a changing cask profile every year. Crafted from Cadboll Estate barley, grown only in the fields surrounding a Highland home, and distilled in Scotland's tallest stills before being finished in a cask that is exclusive to each year. Selected from the 2007 barley harvest and filled into oak casks in 2008, this batch is the first Cadboll Estate release to be wholly matured in the bespoke designer ex-bourbon casks. The slow-growth oak trees are felled and quarter sawn, air seasoned for 2 years (vs. kiln dried as standard), and crafted into casks before being heavily toasted and lightly charred to maximize the flavor potential. They are then filled with bourbon for 4 years before being filled with the new make spirit from the 2007 Cadboll barley harvest. The whisky has been matured for 15 years, bringing a full, smooth, and creamy liquid brimming with flavors.
